BIOGRAPHY

Laure Vasconi is a photographer, she lives and works in Paris. After studying architecture in Paris, she studied photography in New York at the International Center of Photography (ICP) and began assisting numerous photographers from the Magnum agency (Bruce Davidson, Burt Glinn, Paul Fusco, Elliot Erwitt , Guy Le Querrec, Raymond Depardon…) while carrying out his first personal research. Concerned by the question of memory, town planning and landscape, she works on the transformation of Greater Paris and participates in the Photographic mission France(s) Liquid Territory (Edition du Seuil) and the exhibition and publishing French landscapes, a photographic adventure 1984-2017 at the National Library of France (BnF). His work is regularly exhibited in France and abroad. She gives courses and leads workshops in different structures; institutions, associations, schools, secondary establishments, art prep courses, etc. More recently for the CAUE 92 (Architecture and Town Planning Council) and as part of the Rencontres International Photographiques (RIP) festival in Arles. She publishes several works with Éditions de l'Œil, Filigranes, Le Point du Jour, Médiapop and recently self-published. Laure Vasconi is represented by the Sit Down gallery.
