Stéphane Lavoué
Tribe #2
Total add-ons:
There is a village between Béziers and Perpignan, at the foot of the Black Mountains, whose destiny changed around fifteen years ago. Assignan, 80 inhabitants, saw the arrival of a couple of Belgian billionaires, who decided to buy part of the village and the surrounding vineyards. On one side the inhabitants of the village, hunters, winegrowers, young alternative people, shared by the arrival of the couple. On the other, the new arrivals: cooks, gardeners, sommeliers, painters, vineyard manager... How do these two worlds coexist? Can the transplant take? Through this series of images, Stéphane Lavoué wanted to recreate a fictional space, taking up the traditional structure of this Languedoc territory (the land, the vine and its blood, hunting) in which these two human groups can come together and “do” tribe.
