The Sutigi, à nous la nuit series refers to the beautiful age of youth characterized by carelessness and the desire for freedom. This series began in 2004 in Bamako, then it continued in other African cities, notably in South Africa, Congo and Senegal. By focusing on this youth, Fatoumata Diabaté provides a testimony about her time, about young people who, in view of traditions, feel better at night than during the day.
