Dublin – Belfast
After Berlin, I needed to discover another territory divided by ideas, convictions and certainties. The temptation became reality with a brief immersion in Ireland and its capital, Dublin, so dear to James Joyce, who, in a pocket edition, kept me company throughout my stay. And then Northern Ireland, so intriguing and so close, forever echoing the refrain of U2’s anthem Sunday Bloody Sunday, released by the post-punk band in 1983. A quick journey full of curiosities, discoveries and encounters, in two cousin countries, two brothers at odds.
I can't believe the news today
Oh, I can't close my eyes and make it go away
How long, how long must we sing this song?
How long? How long?
Cause tonight
We can be as one Tonight
